How licenses, billing, servers and support plans work.
What is the difference between Monthly and Owned licenses?
Monthly subscriptions are valid for one month and expire at the end of each billing cycle unless renewed. Owned licenses have lifetime validity and include 1 year of support & software updates. After the initial 1-year period, you can buy the yearly support plan (price shown on each plan) from the Licences page of your client portal to keep receiving software updates and support. Renewing early keeps the time you have left.
What happens if I choose not to renew the support package on an Owned license?
If you choose not to renew the yearly support package, your license will continue to work with lifetime validity! However, you will no longer receive new software updates, new feature releases, or ongoing support until you renew the support plan. Releases published while your plan was active stay available to you.
Can I remove the WHBOS powered-by link?
Yes! The Unbranded and Flex tier licenses allow complete removal of any WHBOS branding or powered-by links in your client portal.
What is a Flex license?
A Flex license is not tied to one server address, so it suits cloud setups where servers change or are added automatically. Flex is available monthly or as a buy-once license.
Can I move my license to a new server?
Only with a Flex license. You can move a Flex license to a new server address or domain at any time from your client portal. Branded and Unbranded licenses stay tied to the server they were first set up on.
Is a free developer license included?
Yes. Every buy-once plan includes a free test license for trying out changes and new features safely.
